abstract = «The Open Publishing Lab is an experimental space for developing extended publications utilising ‘old’ tech and ‘next’ tech. On a daily basis a limited number of fanzines will be created to feature interviews, essays and project description about and around the topic of open hardware. It will mainly utilise risographs. RISOs are digital duplicators, printing on a much broader range of media at speeds that cannot be matched by common printing technology. The RISO digital duplicator (previously called the Risograph) is specifically designed to bridge the gap between copier and offset systems by handling run lengths that are too long for copiers or laser printers and too short for offset printers.
Come and learn something about micropublishing techniques and help to create some new aesthetics.»
