Mathias Fuchs has pioneered in the field of artistic use of game engines in various game art installations. He started the first European Masters Programme in Creative Games at the School of Art & Design at the University of Salford in Greater Manchester. Creative Games is a discipline on the borderline of games, art and critical discourse (creativegames.org.uk). He is currently a Senior Lecturer at the University of Salford and Programme Leader in MA Creative Technology and MSc Creative Games. He has had sound and media installations in Vienna, London, Mexico City, Tokyo, Helsinki, Stockholm, Norwich, London, Cairo, Vancouver, Paris, and Providence. Commissioned work for ISEA I, Ars Electronica the Greenwich Millennium Dome and many more.
